1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of PetMap (the “Service”), including the website, any business listings, and any tools we make available to pet owners and pet-industry businesses. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms — see also our Privacy Policy for how we handle your information. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

2. What the Service is

PetMap is a discovery directory for pet-industry services across Nigeria — vets, groomers, trainers, boarding, pet retail and more — searchable by category, location and pet type. We intend to grow the Service over time, including tools and paid plans for businesses (a “software-as-a-service” offering). Where new features carry their own terms, we'll present them at the point of use, and these Terms will apply alongside them.

3. Using the Service as a visitor

You may browse and search the directory freely. You agree not to misuse the Service — including scraping or bulk-extracting data, attempting to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to it, or using it for any unlawful purpose.

4. Business listings

If you submit a business for listing, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you're authorised to submit it on the business's behalf. We review submissions before they go live and may edit, decline, suspend or remove any listing at our discretion — for example if information can't be verified, is misleading, or violates these Terms.

Listings may be offered at different tiers (for example Free, Basic and Premium), which may carry different features, placement or fees. Current tier details and any pricing are as shown on the List your business page at the time you apply, and may change as the Service develops.

5. No endorsement of listed businesses

PetMap is a discovery platform, not the provider of the pet services listed on it. We check businesses that register directly with us, but a listing — including a “verified” or “featured” badge — is not a guarantee or endorsement of the quality, safety, licensing or legality of that business. You're responsible for carrying out your own checks (such as asking to see a licence or proof of insurance) before engaging any business found through the Service, and any dealings you have with a listed business are solely between you and that business.

6. Intellectual property

The PetMap name, logo, design and site content (excluding business-submitted content and third-party data such as map tiles) belong to us or our licensors and may not be copied or reused without permission. By submitting content — such as a business listing, photos or a review — you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display it on the Service.

7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee that listings are complete, current or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, PetMap is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the Service or your interactions with any business found through it.

8. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. If we make material changes, we'll update the “Last updated” date above. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and any disputes arising from them are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lagos State.
